Your upcoming event is important – so is choosing the right speaker. Dr. Shawn Andrews is a recognized expert and author in the topic of leadership.
With a doctorate in Organizational Leadership, Shawn has dedicated over three decades to researching, educating, and inspiring businesses on their leadership effectiveness, culture, and talent management.
She is a business school professor at two top-ranked universities, the University of California Irvine, and Pepperdine University, in the fields of Organization & Management and Applied Behavioral Science. Shawn teaches courses on Organizational Behavior, Leadership and Ethics, and Women and Leadership.
Organizations today want (and need) to create more effective leaders. Leadership is a skill that can be learned, but people are often equipped with inadequate skills sets when they are promoted into leadership roles.
Are you frustrated with ineffective leaders? Is your leadership gender balanced? Do you know how emotional intelligence affects the performance of your leadership team?
Dr. Andrews can help. She is the pioneer of the Rhythm of Diversity & Inclusion, a breakthrough approach to inspire and inform businesses on how to create inclusive cultures and develop great leaders. She shows audiences how emotional intelligence impacts leadership as much as knowledge, skills, and competencies.
She has delivered powerful leadership keynotes to organizations around the world including: United Nations, Johnson & Johnson, GSK, Broadcom, Experian, National Diversity Council, Society for Human Resource Management, and the International Leadership Association.
Dr. Andrews is the perfect opening or closing keynote speaker for your upcoming event. Known for her authentic and relatable style, Shawn lights up rooms with her passion, practicality, and performance skills.
Setting the right tone for learning, growth, and performance is critical. Shawn delivers engaging, conversational topics with practical application that makes audiences feel empowered and confident to act.
Your audience will be actively involved and will walk away with tools and tips they can apply immediately – at both an individual and organizational level.
“Great find on the speaker – I must be honest, out of all the speakers thus far, including Condoleeza Rice and Amy Cuddy, Dr. Shawn Andrews gave the most concrete action items for us to work on. I love her addition of the “Emotional Intelligence Team Effectiveness Questionnaire” at the end. Really well-thought-out!”

As a gender expert, I spend nearly all my time speaking, teaching and writing on gender-related topics.
As a speaker, author, consultant and professor, my expertise centers on the broad topics of leadership, gender, emotional intelligence, hidden bias and diversity and inclusion.
Have you ever been part of your manager's or colleague's in-group? When have you been in the out-group? What impact did it have on you?
I pose this question to my audiences every time I speak. I ask, "How many of you think men are more emotionally intelligent than women?" Usually, 10% of the room or less raise their hands, and sometimes no hands go up with lots of giggles.

Insights
“I loved the presentation and the group discussions on bias! I also thought that the SCARF model was a great framework in facilitating the conversation, and the Rule of 3 was very thought-provoking as I was thinking about how we hire right out of college. I can’t wait to hear more content from you.”
